• In the national parks – Masai Mara and Amboseli (only in the 6-day shared safari) – accommodation is in a permanently tented camp.
  • Tents are set permanently (you do not have to set up your tent for the night). Tents are simple, equipped with double, twin or single beds, bed linen, and a mosquito net. Each tent has an ensuite bathroom (shower and toilet).
  • Single, double, and triple tents are available. Individual travellers (those who travel alone) can be paired with other individuals (of the same gender) to share a tent.
  • Hot water is available occasionally (mainly in the morning and in the evening).
  • There is a generator to provide electricity (only for lighting and for charging your small equipment, e.g. phone). The generator is usually in use in the morning (from around 6 am to 10 am) and in the evening (from 6 pm to 10 pm) only, and is not available during the day and at night. Please make sure you have a torch or headlamp with you, and you can also bring a small solar charger and power bank, as they can be very useful.
  • Tents cannot be locked up, so do not leave anything valuable in your tent. You can bring a small padlock, so that you can lock the tent till you are not there. However, even if the tent is locked, do not leave money unattended there and lock your valuable things (camera, laptop, etc.) in your suitcase/travel bag.
  • In Nakuru, we stay in a simple (2*) hotel. (Only in 4-day and 6-day shared safaris.)
